An opportunity for a tertiary qualified and experienced IT Support Officer has become available to join our growing, hard-working and fun-loving team in the Head Quarters based in Kalgoorlie on a permanent basis.
About the Role
This role exists to provide support to ensure smooth functioning across few related areas including user and device support, monitoring and audit of existing systems, user account management, asset and hardware management, documenting procedures and creating help content, and major projects.
Some of the duties and responsibilities of the IT Support Officer include but are not limited to:
Provision of user support on all internal and external software and hardware via IT management software, Teams, Email or other remote support methods utilised by Topgroup.
Provision of support and troubleshooting for all devices utilised in the IT realm, these include include but are not limited to: Tablets, Starlinks, IoT devices, Phones, Computers, Peripherals, Printers, AV Equipment.
Ensuring the safety and security of the Topgroup network by ensuring all devices are protected by the required antivirus and operating system updates.
Creating new user accounts in Topgroup systems and associated software platforms
Offboarding users in Topgroup systems and associated software platforms.
Performing regular audits of user accounts and licensing in all software used by Topgroup.
Creating, Editing, Refining, formatting and testing technical documentation, training material and help documents.
Contributing to the creation of IT policies and procedures.
Assisting with relevant projects, as required
About You
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate the following:
Tertiary qualifications in IT.
Proven track record in an IT Support role.
Proficiency with current Windows operating system and MS Office applications.
Knowledge of network security, Windows server maintenance and site networking.
Experience in diagnosing and resolving hardware, software and networking issues.
Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Admin Centre and SharePoint would be highly regarded.
Effective communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to relate complex information clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and willingness to contribute ideas and solutions to effectively achieve positive business outcomes.
Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise when working on tasks.
Knowledge of contemporary IT issues.
