About the role

We are seeking an organised and proactive Materials Coordinator - to join our team in Boulder. This role is responsible for ensuring materials, consumables and equipment are purchased, received, stored, tracked and issued accurately to support workshop and project requirements.

You will play a key part in keeping operations running smoothly by managing purchasing, stock control, receipting, dispatch documentation and supplier coordination.

What you’ll be doing

  • Coordinate purchasing of materials, consumables and equipment

  • Raise and process purchase orders in line with approval processes

  • Source quotations and liaise with suppliers on lead times and availability

  • Monitor orders and resolve shortages or supply issues

  • Receive and check incoming goods

  • Maintain accurate stock records, material locations and issue transactions

  • Conduct stocktakes and cycle counts and investigate variances as required

  • Maintain material records and supporting documentation,

  • Support safe storage, handling and traceability of materials

  • Allocate work and provide day-to-day guidance to two direct reports

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in materials coordination, purchasing, stores or supply support in fabrication, manufacturing, mining or construction

  • Strong understanding of procurement and inventory control processes

  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • High attention to detail and strong recordkeeping skills

  • Experience supervising or coordinating team members

  • Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

  • Experience using purchasing, inventory or ERP systems

  • Strong communication skills and a practical, team-focused approach

  • Must be able to pass Mine Site Fitness to Work Medical, D&A testing and be able to provide a clear National Police Clearance

Tickets, licences and qualifications

  • Current C Class driver’s licence required

  • Forklift licence preferred, or willingness to obtain
