With ongoing mining operations at Lady Herial, a growing pipeline of near-mine gold opportunities, and a proven track record of gold and nickel discovery success, we are seeking a motivated and reliable Exploration Field Assistant to join our high-performing exploration team.

This is an outstanding opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the resources industry while gaining hands-on experience across active drilling programs, geological sampling, and field-based exploration activities in one of Australia's premier mining regions.

The Opportunity

Working alongside experienced geologists and drilling contractors, you will play an important role supporting exploration programs across our Kambalda Gold & Nickel Project.

This is a practical, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, values teamwork, takes pride in quality work, and wants to be directly involved in the discovery process.

You will gain exposure to modern exploration techniques, drilling programs, geological sampling and data collection, while contributing to a safe, productive and supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist geological teams with RC, AC and Diamond drilling programs

• Conduct core processing, metre marking, orientation, photography, cutting and sampling activities

• Collect, process and dispatch geological samples to laboratories

• Record geological and field data using digital systems and field tablets

• Assist with drill site preparation, pegging, track clearing and rehabilitation activities

• Operate and maintain 4WD vehicles in remote field environments

• Maintain exploration equipment, vehicles and field supplies to a high standard

• Support exploration camp, office compound and storage facility maintenance activities

• Contribute to a positive safety culture and comply with all workplace procedures and standards

About You

You are dependable, safety-conscious and willing to contribute wherever required to help the team achieve its goals.

You take pride in your work, have a strong work ethic and enjoy working as part of a close-knit team in a dynamic exploration environment.

You will also bring:

• Current Manual C-Class Driver's Licence (essential)

• Physical fitness and ability to work safely in remote outdoor environments and varying weather conditions

• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment and ongoing drug and alcohol screening requirements

• Full Australian working rights

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices

• Positive attitude, reliability and willingness to learn

• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a small team

Highly Regarded

• Previous exploration, mining or field-based experience

• Gold and/or nickel exploration experience within Western Australia

• First Aid Certificate

• 4WD training and off-road driving experience

• Forklift ticket

• Experience using GPS, GIS or field data collection applications

• Competency with Microsoft Office applications
