With ongoing mining operations at Lady Herial, a growing pipeline of near-mine gold opportunities, and a proven track record of gold and nickel discovery success, we are seeking an enthusiastic and capable Exploration Geologist to join our high-performing technical team.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious geologist looking to accelerate their career through hands-on involvement in drilling programs, target generation, geological modelling and resource growth initiatives within one of Western Australia's most prospective mineral districts.

The Opportunity

Working as part of a small and highly collaborative exploration team, you will play a key role in advancing gold and nickel exploration programs across the Kambalda Gold & Nickel Project.

This role offers an excellent balance of field-based geological work and technical interpretation, providing exposure to all stages of the exploration process from drill planning and execution through to data integration, target generation and reporting.

You will work alongside experienced geologists and senior leadership while developing the technical and operational skills required to progress towards senior exploration and project geology roles.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate RC, Diamond and Aircore drilling programs

• Conduct geological logging of diamond core, RC chips and Aircore samples

• Coordinate sampling programs, laboratory submissions, QA/QC and database validation processes

• Interpretation of geological, structural and geochemical datasets to support exploration targeting

• Assist with 3D geological modelling and target generation using Leapfrog Geo and other industry software

• Contribute to technical reporting, exploration reviews and project evaluations

• Ensure all exploration activities are conducted in accordance with safety, environmental and heritage requirements

• Build strong working relationships with drilling contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders

• Support continual improvement initiatives across exploration systems, processes and standards

About You

You are a motivated and technically curious geologist who enjoys being actively involved in exploration programs and contributing to discovery success.

You are keen to continue developing your technical capability while taking increasing ownership of projects and responsibilities within a dynamic exploration environment.

You will also bring

• Bachelor of Science (Geology) or higher

• Approximately 3–7 years' experience within mineral exploration

• Experience working on gold and/or nickel exploration projects

• Strong understanding of geological logging, sampling, QA/QC and drilling operations

• Experience with Leapfrog Geo, ioGAS, ArcGIS/QGIS and Microsoft Office applications

• Sound understanding of geological interpretation and target generation principles

• Strong organisational and communication skills

• Positive attitude, attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices

• Current Manual C-Class Driver's Licence and First Aid Certificate

• Full Australian working rights

Highly Regarded

• Experience working within the Yilgarn Craton

• Exposure to orogenic gold and/or komatiitic nickel sulphide systems

• Experience with geological databases such as GeoBank

• Membership or eligibility for membership with the AusIMM or AIG
