About the role

ComfortStyle Furniture and Bedding is seeking a dedicated Sales Associate to join our Kalgoorlie store. This is a part-time position offering approximately 20 hours per week, with flexible working arrangements including a mix of weekday and occasional weekend shifts. As a Sales Associate, you will be the face of our brand, providing exceptional customer service and driving sales across our furniture and bedding ranges. This role is instrumental in creating a welcoming shopping experience and building lasting customer relationships that reflect our commitment to quality and comfort.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting customers warmly and assisting them in finding the right furniture and bedding products to meet their needs

• Providing product knowledge and expert advice about our furniture ranges, materials and benefits

• Processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems

• Maintaining a clean, tidy and inviting showroom environment, including dressing displays, arranging cushions, making beds, cleaning surfaces and ensuring furniture is presented to a high standard

• Handling customer enquiries and resolving concerns with professionalism and courtesy

• Promoting current sales events and promotions to customers

• Following up customer enquiries, orders and sales opportunities as required

• Assisting with customer collections, stock arrivals and general store duties when required

• Supporting the team in achieving store targets and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction

What we're looking for

• Previous retail, sales or customer service experience

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of customers

• A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service

• Strong sales skills and confidence in helping customers make informed purchasing decisions

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities and business needs

• Basic skills and confidence using computer systems and point-of-sale technology

• Physical capability to assist with merchandising, stock handling and customer collections when required

• Reliable, punctual and professional in your approach to work

• Availability to work a combination of weekday and weekend shifts
