The Role 

This position is a dual role where you act mainly as a DIDO Service Technician to various mine sites based around the Goldfields region. Completing shutdown duties and maintenance work on conveyor systems.

On the sales side you will act as an Account Manager where you will take ownership of the Kalgoorlie based customers and act as their point of contact, playing a critical role in maintaining strong client relationships. You will identify opportunities for growth and deliver value-added solutions and will be rewarded accordingly.

The ideal fit would be a mechanically minded candidate with experience servicing, troubleshooting, installing and commissioning conveyor belt equipment whilst being driven and hungry to grow the client base in Kalgoorlie . We will offer extensive training, and any traded person keen to grow and learn is welcome to apply. 

The role is a challenging yet rewarding position where many new skills can be learnt and developed. You will also have opportunities to help develop new innovative approaches to Conveyor Belt maintenance.

Skills and Experience

Suitable candidates have trade qualifications in boiler making, fitting, fabrication or extensive experience with conveyor belts. 

On top of this, the following skills and experience will be highly regarded:

• Able to work in a team and autonomously

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Develop and maintain excellent internal and external relationships

• Flexible “can do” attitude with a professional approach to work

• Strong commitment to quality workmanship

Key responsibilities include:

• Identify and develop new sales opportunities

• Provide technical recommendations and close deals.

• Manage and grow key client accounts across Goldfields area

• Gain a deep understanding of their needs and deliver the right solutions.

• Undertake regular visits to client sites.

• Offer on-the-ground technical support and provide proactive follow-up to ensure long-term satisfaction.

• Help clients improve efficiency and performance through proactive account management.

• EWP- Elevated Work platform

• Previous experience installing and fitting scrapers or similar on site into plant and machinery

• Previous experience interpreting technical drawings and specifications

• Mine site/shut down/FIFO/DIDO experience is a bonus

• Manual Driver's Licence
