Trades Assistant

We currently have an excellent opportunity available to be part of the success of the Europcar business and its subsidiary, AUS Mechanical Services throughout Western Australia. Reporting to the Service Manager, this role will see you responsible for the workshop team with completing assigned tasks.

This role is NOT a FIFO role and will require the candidate to be based in Kalgoorlie.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Pre-Employment medical to include Drug and Alcohol testing.

This position will be responsible for;

• Presenting fleet to the required standards

• Provide general labouring support as requested

• Organise the vehicles within the yard

• Clean vehicles and components

• Strip and reassemble components as required

• Fitting windscreens (training to be provided)

• General house keeping

• Yardman duties

• Tyre fitting and wheel balancing

• Assisting the Vehicle Mechanics where necessary

You will also need to possess the following:

• Basic computer skills

• Attention to detail

• Unrestricted manual drivers' license (MR license preferred)

• Forklift ticket preferred

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

• Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with local suppliers and clients

The ideal applicant will have a positive and motivated attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team in order to provide the highest level of service possible. You must be well presented and have the ability to think on their feet whilst working in a fast paced team environment. You will also have the ability to provide exceptional service to both internal and external customers and be able to liaise and build relationships with other team members.
